In This Role, a Typical Day Might Include
- Drive the development, coordination, and implementation of all Patient Support Services (PSS) initiatives for myRARE, ensuring alignment to brand objectives, including removing access barriers for patient onboarding and adherence.
- Lead, inspire, and structure the team to deliver consistently for patients, providers, and other key stakeholders.
- Achieve performance goals by owning all aspects of the business; serve as subject matter expert on service mix, market access landscape, patient/prescriber trends, and integration with field teams.
- Create and manage the myRARE budget across multiple brand budgets; drive operational and financial efficiencies; hold internal teams and suppliers accountable for consistent operations within allotted funding.
- Advance the product portfolio by optimizing program offerings and continually assessing overall marketplace performance.
- Analyze and present program insights to senior leaders across the Commercial department.
- Compile business plans to develop and implement innovative service offerings that enhance the customer experience for accessing and maintaining therapy.
- Drive the development and management of myRARE correspondences and content through review committee; partner on materials and messaging to highlight the impact of support.
- Collaborate with PSS peers and external suppliers to extend best practices, optimize strategic relationships, and pursue bold ideas.
- Cultivate talent and capability of employees inside and outside of PSS.
- Act with integrity and urgency while complying with operating principles.

- Previous experience managing Patient Support Services (PSS) programs across multiple therapeutic areas (preferred).
- Experience working with an in-sourced CRM platform to manage workflows, system integrations, and data processes.

- Confidence collaborating with senior executives.
- Ability to proactively and independently prioritize requests and business needs.
- Ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration (e.g., alliance partners, market access, marketing, sales, analytics, HR, compliance, legal).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills; ability to influence internal and affiliate decision-makers.
- Experience in specialty products and specialty product launches (required); preference for rare disease.
To be Considered, You Must Have
- 12+ years progressive industry/relevant professional experience; 10+ years working with pharmaceutical manufacturers with at least three years in a leadership capacity. Preferred: patient services operations, market access, patient engagement, or field reimbursement.
- Strong patient focus and understanding of patient access services.
- Knowledge of Buy & Bill; Specialty Pharmacy; biologics and infusion therapies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects within timelines and quality standards; excellent public presentation skills (written and verbal).
- Demonstrated knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system, including health care reimbursement policies relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
- Clear understanding of how payer/reimbursement policy impacts prescriber and patient behaviors as well as sales force activity.
- Ethical, team player; able to contribute creative ideas in a cross-functional environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%.
