Role Summary

Director of Patient Support Communications to help build a new Patient Support and Customer Operations Team for Kidney. Oversees communications with patients and healthcare providers and leads a team responsible for guidance on programs, processes, and systems required for treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for launch preparation/execution of all HCP- and patient/caregiver-facing educational resources, including auto-injector materials and foundational tactics
  • Develop capabilities for digital engagement tools including resources for PSP website
  • Develop resources to support treatment initiation and adherence for Kidney patient community
  • Collaborate with Head of case management to provide timely tools and resources to care managers and PSS team
  • Build the patient support communications team from the ground up to enable necessary interactions and service
  • Develop and execute research/discovery plans to understand patient/caregiver needs, close knowledge gaps, and validate support offerings
  • Partner with the Patient Services Operations Team to identify communication touchpoints and engagement channel mix for distribution networks and communications for HCPs and patients
  • Understand and compliantly support the needs of healthcare providers and patients undergoing treatment
  • Work with agency partners to develop tactics and obtain legal/medical/regulatory review
  • Define metrics for tactics; implement measurement plans and optimize in partnership with the Analytics Team
  • Support annual brand planning for program evolutions
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with marketing, IT, legal, sales, and compliance
  • Recruit, hire, and develop a motivated team and act as a thought partner to team members

Qualifications

  • Deep experience in legal, medical, and regulatory environment and application to branded/unbranded initiatives, with understanding of patient support guardrails
  • Strong analytical skills to derive insights from customer engagements and apply to tactical creation
  • Experience leading a team
  • Commitment to compliance, ethics, and integrity; ability to role model expected behavior
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams
  • Experience managing and directing agency partners, including budget ownership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to connect with senior leaders and large diverse audiences
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and prioritize workload

Education

  • Bachelorβ€šΓ„Γ΄s Degree
  • 10+ years of marketing or related fields with direct patient marketing and supervisory/management experience, or equivalent
  • Experience launching a product for a rare disease/underserved patient population
  • Experience in Kidney therapeutic landscape (preferred)
  • Prior people leadership experience
