Patient Advocacy
Director, Patient Educator Lead (field-based; near major airport; travel up to 75%)

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 patient/caregiver/family education (in person or 1:1) on PDP, Nuplazid, and ACADIA support resources using approved materials.
- Support patients/caregivers with empathy and professionalism; ensure education is outcomes-driven and compliant.
- Partner with advocacy/community/professional organizations to expand education.
- Coordinate appropriate handoffs to Patient Access Managers (PAMs).
- Model best practices for patient engagement and escalates complex cases.
- Lead/coach/develop Patient Educators (onboarding, field coaching, mentorship, performance reviews).
- Own KPI performance (interaction volume/quality, documentation, PAM handoffs) using data to identify gaps and corrective actions.
- Plan and execute educational programs, speaker/community events; partner cross-functionally (Marketing, Sales, Advocacy, Patient Support Services); capture/synthesize feedback.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (healthcare/life sciences preferred).
- 10+ years in pharma/biotech with focus on patient education/support/advocacy.
- Strong leadership/coaching/mentoring; experience leading field-based teams strongly preferred.
- Highly valued: patient education/navigation, clinical care, pharmacy, or community health education.
- Exceptional communication/presentation; translate science into patient-friendly language.
- Strong compliance/regulatory understanding; self-starter.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Physical/Travel
- Regular standing/walking/sitting; occasional lifting up to 20 lbs; independent overnight travel and/or after-hours work.
