Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of consumer marketing strategies and tactical plans for rare disease portfolio assets across pre-launch, launch, and post-launch lifecycles.
- Build business cases for patient-oriented programs to support sustainable brand growth.
- Develop patient/caregiver tools and programs (e.g., disease education materials; branded patient support tools to improve HCP/patient communication).
- Create and implement geotargeted digital marketing campaigns for rare disease and cardiometabolic patient populations, prioritizing precision over scale.
- Partner with patient support services to align patient communication/engagement, including access facilitation for sponsored genetic testing programs.
- Evolve and execute the Patient Ambassador Program strategy; manage ambassador recruitment, certification, and mentorship.
- Analyze reimbursement trends and barriers with cross-functional teams to align marketing with patient access/affordability needs.
- Use data analytics to identify patient needs/preferences and tailor content/strategies to improve engagement and outcomes.
- Conduct competitive benchmarking and leverage marketplace trends to inform patient/consumer marketing programs and tactics.
- Enhance the patient portion of the brand website.
- Ensure cross-functional communication and alignment (Field Sales, Field Medical, Access & Reimbursement, Marketing, Legal, Compliance).
- Collaborate with Patient Advocacy on patient organization/advocacy strategy.
- Partner with Corporate Communications on PR patient strategies/programs.
- Coordinate with HCP and scientific marketing for consistent branding and complementary tactics.
- Work with Insights & Analytics to structure proactive data collection/analysis.
- Manage budgets, monitor performance, and track KPIs; support annual brand plans.
- Attend industry conferences and networking events.

To Be Considered, You Must Possess:
- 12+ years biopharmaceutical marketing experience, including 5+ years in consumer marketing.
- Neurology/rare disease experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/PhD/MD preferred.
- Proven track record leading omnichannel consumer marketing plans for rare disease.
- Strategic leadership; ability to drive performance, build alignment, and negotiate/collaborate.
- Experience managing consumer marketing for a new product launch.
- Strong written/oral communication and influential presentation skills.
- Initiative, creativity, and ability to thrive in complex, rapidly changing environments.
- Strong project/process management; ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong cross-functional teamwork.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
