Role Summary

The Director of Patient Access Program Management leads key initiatives on the Patient & Channel team, delivering program management, business insights, and analytics for copay, pharmacy, patient programs, and related services. The role manages patient-facing programs and uses data-driven insights to inform strategy and optimize performance. It collaborates with cross-functional partners including Patient Services, Trade, Market Access, Finance, Commercial Operations, and IT to ensure informed decision-making. This position requires strategic thinking, expertise in program management and analytics, and experience in pharmaceutical distribution and patient-access fulfillment to optimize commercial strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic management of Patient & Channel services initiatives
  • Develop insights from program metrics to support measurable and actionable outcomes across pharmacy, trade, and patient channels
  • Develop and implement strategies for decision support, ensuring alignment with commercial and patient access goals
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders on the team, including patient services, trade relations, and market access
  • Help define priorities, set objectives, and guide the enablement of insights across aspects of pharmacy and patient services
  • Translate complex data into meaningful insights that can inform commercial strategy and decision support
  • Conduct analysis to identify trends, forecast performance, and assess risks and opportunities
  • Employ technologies to access data to align, analyze, and interpret data related to trade distribution, pharmacy copay, and any other related transactions
  • Provide analytical support for product launches, distribution agreements, and other access initiatives
  • Track and report on patient access key performance indicators and provide recommendations to improve operational strategies
  • Generate and present dashboards to senior leadership, offering data-driven insights on the performance of patient access, distribution, and access channel effectiveness
  • Align and analyze distribution and fulfillment transactions to optimize financial efficiency and allocation of limited resources
  • Act as the primary liaison between the Channel and Patient Services team and Digital & IT
  • Partner with Finance, Commercial Operations, and Information Technology teams to ensure analytics efforts support broader business initiatives
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse internal customers

  • Ensure data quality and consistency across all analytics and reporting activities

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in patient program management and commercial analytics, with a strong background in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or dermatology
  • Advanced working knowledge of analytical tools like Excel, Tableau, and various data repositories

Education

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or masterโ€™s degree

Skills

  • Deep understanding of patient access, trade, and pharmacy strategy, including vendor management, decision support, analytics, and reporting
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution, copay, reimbursement, and trade agreements
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills
  • Strong track record of success in the pharmaceutical industry; Experience with Specialty/Branded/Dermatology products is preferred
  • Self-starter who can thrive in a competitive and fast-paced or high-pressure environment, who is able to effectively prioritize, balance multiple tasks, and work independently
  • Highly motivated with the ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
