Pathologists in the research Pathobiology Department work in cross-functional partnerships to meet drug development needs for discovery research, clinical biomarkers, reverse translation, and post marketing support. Primary focus: support oncology and inflammation drug development programs by providing expertise on tissue-based endpoints, therapeutic target validation, preclinical models in the context of relevant human disease, and the applicability of emerging technologies to program needs.
Education
- MD or DVM with pathology residency training and specialty board certification
- PhD or research fellowship (highly desirable)
- Previous industry experience (beneficial but not required)
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills
- Strong pathology background and appropriate scientific training
- Strong formal and informal communication skills (oral and written)
- Collaborative temperament; willingness to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving technical and regulatory environment
- Familiarity with or interest in clinical biomarkers, reverse translational research, large molecule drug development, and/or digital pathology ML/AI (desirable)
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to navigate open-ended problems
Compensation/Benefits
- Salary range: $226,185.00β$292,710.00
- May be eligible for discretionary annual bonus and discretionary stock-based long-term incentives; paid time off; benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
