Purpose
Drive successful delivery of an R&D portfolio by overseeing and managing productive partnerships with Global Development external suppliers (clinical trial execution, lab services, home health, digital health, flexible staffing such as biometrics and trial management). Serve as a connector between internal stakeholders and external supplier partners; champion partners as a J&J spokesperson. Report to the Senior Director, Partnership Management and support creation of a centralized partnerships oversight function.

Key Responsibilities
- Partnership Management: Proactively manage and grow partnerships; manage budget/headcount; ensure governance, regulatory and legal compliance; oversee execution and resolve issues to ensure contractual obligations.
- Strategic Focus: Understand business partner needs; identify opportunities; develop and implement supplier strategy with procurement/finance/business partners.
- Resource needs planning across capabilities/patterns/suppliers.
- Lead/participate in implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the One Delivery Model.
- Support geographic optimization strategy.
- Innovation & continuous improvement: assess/validate new partnerships; support new supplier implementation; drive continuous improvement and new ways of working.
- Standards/playbooks; issue management & compliance.
- Team Leadership: lead/guidance for Partnership Management and Enablement professionals.
- Collaboration with agile mindset in lean team; build internal/external relationships.
- Travel: Up to 10% domestic; potential international.

Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (business or scientific field preferred)
- 10+ years related industry experience
- 3–5 years direct vendor/supplier management preferred
- Demonstrated leadership success
- Experience managing external stakeholders/strategic partnerships/alliance management
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to collaborate across matrix organizations and influence decisions
- Supplier processes/contracting knowledge preferred (deliverables-based or functional-service model)
- Sound business/financial acumen preferred
- People leader experience preferred
