Director, Package Engineering

Role: Lead a technical packaging engineering team responsible for late-stage development, commercialization, and supply of biopharma products at Vertex. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Packaging, Chemical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering, with 12+ years of experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles supporting pharmaceutical packaging from research through launch. Preferred skills include expertise in primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging materials, equipment qualification, and regulatory knowledge. High-value specifics involve experience supporting biologics or small molecules in regulated environments, with an emphasis on GxP compliance, manufacturing science, and technical operations. The role reports to senior management, involves hybrid/on-site work, and requires approximately 20% domestic/international travel.
