Role Summary

The Director, Oncology Account Management will provide leadership, sales management, and operational oversight of field team responsible for the promotion of Companyโ€™s FDA-approved portfolio. The South/Central Region includes the following states: TX, OK, KS, MO, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, NC, SC, GA, FL

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall sales goal achievement.
  • Responsible for delivering overall execution of teamโ€™s activities.
  • Conduct regular field visits with each direct report to assess execution of strategy, appropriate action planning, individual training needs and personnel development.
  • Consistent monitoring of teamโ€™s execution of strategy via field reports, field visits, and business acumen.
  • Collaborate with Analysis & Reporting to design reports and tools to monitor attainment of goals.
  • Provide coaching and institute appropriate adjustment across entirety of team to ensure executional excellence.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train and staff talent to ensure minimal disruption to team.
  • Minimize turnover through effective employee selection process and day to day team leadership.
  • Coach and support the team to execute activities at a high level.
  • Collaborate on development of performance objectives of field team and appropriate measures to ensure achievement of Company goals.
  • Provide frequent, ongoing performance feedback to all direct reports and foster a team-oriented, supportive working environment.
  • Collaborate on incentive compensation plan design of direct reports, communication of plan and ensure proper administration.
  • Establish performance expectations and oversee activity of direct reports, including adherence to policies.
  • Oversee the ongoing performance management process for all team members and oversee the fair and timely resolution of any employee relations issues.
  • Assess team training needs and recommend solutions, as appropriate.
  • Coordinate meetings/events, as necessary.
  • Ensure team is operating in full compliance with company policies, local codes of conduct and ethics, corporate governance and applicable law through collaboration with Company Compliance.
  • Foster an environment that rewards accomplishment and encourages the advancement and retention of productive employees.
  • Implement business in accordance with the highest ethical, legal, and compliance standards, including timely and successful completion of all required training.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years of commercial pharmaceutical experience with at least 3 years of second level management leading a Regional or National Field Sales force.
  • Proven track record of successful sales leadership and motivation of team.
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years of home office and operations background. i.e. Training, Incentive Compensation, Recruiting, Analyst etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education

  • Minimum bachelor's degree, MBA preferred (Majors preferred โ€“ Sciences, Business, Healthcare Fields)

Additional Requirements

  • Home office-based with average of 50% travel
  • Candidates must live in close proximity to a major airport
  • Valid US Driver's License
  • Must be able to fly and/or drive to conduct field visits and meet with target customers
  • Additional travel to meetings/trainings/programs, as necessary
