Director - Oligonucleotide Analytical Chemistry

Role: Lead analytical scientist for Lilly Genetic Medicine (LGM), overseeing analytical characterization, biophysical analysis, downstream process development, and analytical technology implementation for oligonucleotides and conjugates. Responsibilities: provide strategic technical leadership across research sites, develop and validate analytical methods, manage investments and resource planning, mentor scientific staff, and collaborate with external vendors. Requirements: Ph.D. in analytical or bioanalytical chemistry with 7+ years in biopharma, including 2+ years people management and lab operations. High-Value: expertise in analytical methods for oligonucleotides, antibody-oligonucleotide, and peptide-oligonucleotide conjugates; experience with separation sciences, scale-up sample prep, and biophysical techniques; strong understanding of drug-like molecule synthesis and formulation. WorkSetup: on-site in Indianapolis, IN; travel 15-20%. Collaboration with discovery, development, and external partners to advance complex genetic medicines.
