Summary:
- Director of US Insights and Commercial Analytics (ICA) is a senior, strategic thought partner to U.S. leadership on the rare disease portfolio; leads brand-aligned, cross-functional teams to identify and activate performance opportunities from data-driven insights and advise on transformational business drivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Frame and answer high-impact business questions related to brand strategy, execution, and investments.
- Lead monthly business reviews, executive leadership discussions, and standard planning cycles using strategic analytics aligned to brand strategy.
- Lead cross-functional teams delivering succinct, actionable insight summaries for senior leadership.
- Design and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools for sales performance, brand health, and commercial effectiveness.
- Analyze and synthesize complex datasets to inform sales, marketing, and customer engagement strategies.
- Translate market research into clear narratives with actionable senior-leadership recommendations.
- Diagnose performance gaps and recommend optimal, data-driven actions.
- Excel at storytelling to make technical findings simple and actionable.
- Structure projects, drive cross-functional accountability, and run productive meetings with timely deliverables.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- BA/BS in a quantitative discipline; MS and/or MBA strongly preferred.
- 10+ years healthcare industry experience; 3+ years rare disease and launch experience preferred.
- 8+ years in consulting, finance, or market analytics.
- Track record in strategic analytics (secondary data analytics, data science, market research, commercial analytics, market access, patient services, or management consulting).
- Experience building analytic plans, leading research, and managing vendors.
Skills:
- Strong analytical rigor and ability to frame simple, actionable commercial insights.
- Independent, proactive collaboration in a matrixed, fast-paced environment.
- Business acumen; manage multiple priorities.
- Executive communication/presentation and storytelling (written and verbal).
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel; hands-on SQL and/or Python/R/SAS.
- Strong secondary data knowledge (e.g., syndicated sales, promotional/marketing, longitudinal patient, payer, specialty pharmacy).
