Job Title: Director of Strategy & Operations Location: Dublin Introduction to role: Are you ready to lead transformative change and drive strategic initiatives? As the Director of Strategy & Operations, you'll be at the forefront of deploying and executing global strategies, spearheading change programs, and managing supply chain projects. Your role will be pivotal in delivering the E2E APICOM transformation program, establishing governance structures, and ensuring operational readiness. Collaborating with the leadership team, you'll align APICOM strategy with PT&D and Operations objectives, fostering continuous improvement and excellence. Accountabilities: - Join the APICOM Leadership Team to set and achieve sustainable API Commercialisation goals. - Oversee APICOM program management, delivering benefits from complex, multi-year initiatives. - Serve as Chief of Staff, preparing for MTP, LTP, and engaging with executive stakeholders. - Lead strategy deployment and portfolio management, facilitating transformational change. - Establish financial frameworks integrated with Global Operations for streamlined execution. - Develop business process structures for APICOM strategy and operations. - Coach senior staff to nurture talent pipelines and succession planning. - Exemplify AstraZeneca leadership capabilities, motivating teams for exceptional performance. Essential Skills/Experience: - Graduate status to minimum bachelor’s degree (hons) or equivalent - Advanced commercial acumen and ability to influence and direct stakeholder decision-making at senior levels. - Proven ability to drive change regionally within a diverse and matrix organisational environment. - Advanced business management skill-set including both financial planning and team management - Experience leading transformational business change programmes in a global and complex matrix environment. - Significant understanding of strategy formulation and delivery and the project portfolios management - Excellent communication, influencing, partnering skills, and stakeholder management up to VP level or higher. - Experience of business processes governing new product development and introduction and regulatory affairs a distinct advantage Desirable Skills/Experience: - Masters, MBA, or PhD in a relevant discipline - Operational excellence / Lean certification - Wide awareness of digital system integration. - Experience of Business Process Management and effective application of Lean principles. - Excellent knowledge of AstraZeneca policies, procedures, and guidelines AstraZeneca offers an environment where innovation thrives.
