Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, Commercial Manufacturing and Tech Ops (CMTO) Finance
Hybrid schedule: Boston, MA (Seaport area); 3 days in office / 2 days remote weekly.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and standardization across month-end close, reporting, and budgeting/forecasting/long-range planning (CMTO/Supply Chain Finance).
- Provide analytics and transparent reporting to improve forecast accuracy and explain variances (OPEX, capital expenses, COGS).
- Partner with CMTO to influence and optimize network strategy decisions.
- Identify ROI/trade-off opportunities to drive profitability for small molecule and T1D programs.
- Support annual budget, forecasts, and long-range plan with forward-looking observations and scenario development.
- Develop and coach team members; promote inclusivity.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial Finance, DST Finance, Strategic Sourcing, and Accounting with a continuous improvement mindset.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Finance or Accounting (MBA/advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years in a finance managerial role with strong technical/analytical skills.
- Business partnering experience with Manufacturing/Supply Chain leaders (prefer large Biotech/Pharma).
- Ability to manage efficient processes across OPEX, Inventory, and COGS for complex budgets/forecasts/analyses.
- Deep understanding of Biotech/Pharma manufacturing finance; ability to make/facilitate quick decisions.
- Expert analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication/presentation to senior stakeholders.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strategic thinking/problem-solving; influence without authority; strong business judgment.
- Advanced Excel/PowerPoint; working knowledge of Hyperion or similar tools.
- Interpersonal communication; lead change; cross-functional collaboration; continuous improvement mindset.
Pay Range: $182,400 - $273,600. Eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards.
