Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and standardization across month-end-close, reporting, and budget/forecast/LRP processes within CMTO/Supply Chain Finance.
- Support analytics and transparent reporting to drive forecast accuracy and explain key variances to plan across operating expenses, capital expenses, and COGS.
- Partner with Commercial Manufacturing and Tech Ops (CMTO) to influence and optimize network strategy decisions.
- Identify ROI/trade-off opportunities to drive profitability and support key decisions for small molecule and T1D programs.
- Support financial planning (annual budget, forecasts, long-range plan, etc.) with forward-looking observations and scenario development.
- Develop and coach team members; contribute to an inclusive team atmosphere.
- Partner cross-functionally across the CFO organization (Commercial Finance, DST Finance, Strategic Sourcing, Accounting) to drive continuous improvement, communication, and best practices.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree in Finance or Accounting (required); MBA and/or other advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years in a finance managerial role with strong technical/analytical skills and a track record in team-based environments.
- Business partnering experience with Manufacturing/Supply Chain executive teams; strong preference for large Biotech/Pharma experience.
- Proven ability to manage efficient processes across Operating Expenses, Inventory, and COGS to deliver complex budgets, forecasts, and analyses in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of Biotech/Pharma manufacturing finance and ability to make/facilitate quick decisions.
- Expert analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to senior stakeholders.
Knowledge & Skills (preferred):
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving; ability to influence without authority.
- Strong business acumen and judgment; knowledge of markets/products and industry trends.
- Expertise with Excel and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Hyperion or similar planning tools.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication.
- Ability to lead and drive change; coordinate complex processes under tight deadlines.
- Cross-functional leadership and execution; proactive and organized with shifting priorities; continuous improvement mindset.
Location/Work Model:
- Boston, MA (Seaport area); hybrid schedule (3 days in office / 2 days remote weekly).
