Director of Data Science and Bioinformatics

Role: Lead and develop the Data Science and Bioinformatics functions supporting Natera's Women's Health and Organ Health products. Objectives: Build scalable AWS cloud infrastructure, establish quality standards for genomic algorithms, and lead a high-performing bioinformatics team. Responsibilities: define technical strategy, implement pipelines and validation frameworks, partner with cross-functional teams for productization, and mentor staff. Requirements: MS or Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related field; 10+ years in Data Science/Bioinformatics, including 5+ years in leadership; hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, NGS pipelines, and automation tools. High-Value: focus on genomics-based algorithms, Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), cloud infrastructure, MLOps, regulated environments (CLIA, FDA), and clinical product support. Work setup: Remote USA; salary range $178,200–$222,800 USD.
