Director of Business Development, U.S.

Role Responsibilities:
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic growth opportunities within the United States.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities in generics, complex generics, established brands, and mature brands near LOE (loss of exclusivity).
- Build and manage a robust U.S. deal pipeline aligned with commercial revenue targets and portfolio gaps.
- Monitor U.S. market trends, FDA developments, pricing dynamics, and the competitive landscape to inform BD priorities.
- Identify and evaluate innovative product opportunities that complement the core portfolio and fit commercial and operational capabilities.
- Assess strategic alignment, market potential, and development feasibility of innovative assets.
- Coordinate diligence workstreams across Legal, Finance, Regulatory, Quality, and Supply Chain.
- Present business cases to executive leadership and governance committees.
- Collaborate with U.S. Commercial leadership to align BD activity with revenue strategy and market needs.
- Ensure alignment between U.S. BD priorities and Global Business Development strategy.
- Develop and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical companies, specialty firms, and development partners.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in Science, Business, or related field; Masterโ€™s preferred. 6โ€“10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical business development, commercial strategy, or corporate development within the U.S. (Related experience/education may be considered.)
- Strong knowledge of U.S. generics, complex generics, and LOE lifecycle strategies (established brands experience is a plus).
- Experience evaluating both mature product portfolios and innovative assets.
- Proven transaction execution experience (licensing, acquisitions, partnerships).
- Strong financial and analytical acumen.
- Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with Commercial, R&D, Finance, Operations, and other teams.
- Remote work flexibility; strong preference for candidates based along the East Coast U.S. Occasional travel as needed.
- Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English.

Compensation:
- Salary range: $112,000 - $236,000.
