Director, Observational Research (Oncology)

Responsibilities:
- Establish strategic direction and provide technical and managerial leadership across cross-functional teams.
- Design and execute observational studies (e.g., identify patient populations; assess disease burden and resource utilization; support registrations/label expansions; meet post-marketing requirements/commitments; enable product differentiation).
- Identify opportunities to substitute for and/or complement interventional studies to reduce time and cost.
- Influence stakeholders on the timing and use of non-interventional research to answer high-priority business questions.
- Leverage real-world data and CfOR analytic approaches to inform high-value decisions for multiple partners.
- Track business/functional priorities and align resources accordingly.
- Progress innovative epidemiological methods and analytical capabilities.
- Lead, develop, and mentor staff and teams.
- Improve CfOR capabilities and contribute input.
- Support product and CfOR strategy development.
- Develop and maintain relationships with organizational leaders.

Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate + 4 years scientific experience OR Master’s + 7 OR Bachelor’s + 9 OR Associate’s + 10 OR High school/GED + 12.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Epidemiology (or similar with high observational content).
- Observational research study design, execution, and analysis in pharmaceutical or public health settings.
- Research supporting drug development.
- Observational research project planning and management.
- Excellent verbal/writing and interpersonal communication.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
