Key Responsibilities:
- Lead defined commercial workstreams for Zilebesiran and ALN-6400 within the go-to-market framework, stage-gate roadmap, and positioning.
- Develop commercial strategy for additional VPC portfolio pipeline assets (market assessments, target product profile, patient population analysis, early commercialization plans).
- Maintain a commercial point of view for assigned assets (competitive positioning hypotheses, unmet-need framing, launch assumptions).
- Build the analytical foundation and commercial narrative for senior leadership decisions in governance/development board forums.
- Contribute to forecast assumption development and financial modeling.
- Lead defined workstreams within the Integrated Evidence Plan; connect evidence generation to positioning/differentiation at launch.
- Partner with Medical Affairs to reflect commercial perspective in evidence planning, publications strategy, and scientific communications.
- Design and execute primary market research programs with market research; translate business questions into objectives and recommendations.
- Synthesize competitive intelligence and treatment landscape dynamics into actionable asset/portfolio insights.
- Build VPC team ways of working (frameworks, tools, processes) and develop commercial best practices for pipeline-stage assets.
- Lead external engagement with KOLs, clinical experts, and advisory boards; translate expert input into commercial insight.
- Support alliance partner workstreams with commercial materials and strategic inputs for joint planning/evidence generation.
- Engage patient communities/advocacy organizations to embed patient perspective in commercial and evidence planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 8+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare consulting with experience in new product planning, pipeline commercialization, launch strategy, and/or brand strategy.
- Ability to independently lead commercial workstreams and represent commercial perspective credibly externally.
- Experience in or exposure to alliance/co-development environments preferred.
- Strong market research design, competitive intelligence synthesis, and evidence-to-strategy translation.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Strong analytical skills (develop/pressure-test forecast assumptions).
- Clear, compelling communicator able to synthesize complex info for senior leaders.
- Comfortable operating across a long development horizon and adapting hypotheses as evidence evolves.
