Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute network security vision, roadmap, and policies with a focus on Zero Trust principles.
- Provide strategic guidance to executive leadership on emerging threats, trends, and network security technology investments.
- Lead day-to-day delivery, monitoring, and continuous improvement of global network security operations to ensure resilience, availability, and effectiveness.
- Lead and develop a globally distributed network security operations team.
- Oversee operational management of network security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, secure network access controls, etc.).
- Direct operational response to network security events/incidents (investigation, escalation, containment, restoration, post-incident review).
- Ensure operations align with requirements and frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS benchmarks.
- Define, monitor, and report KPIs/KRIs, service-level measures, and control effectiveness.
- Identify/remediate operational risks, service gaps, recurring incidents, and performance issues.
- Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to transition capabilities into operations and strengthen detection/monitoring/response.
- Oversee third-party providers/managed security services supporting network security operations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 8+ years network security/cybersecurity experience.
- 5+ years leadership experience managing security teams/programs.
- Expertise in enterprise security technologies (firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, NAC, VPN).
- Strong cloud security knowledge (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Incident response, risk management, and regulatory compliance experience.
- Experience in large-scale/highly regulated environments.
- Agile environment experience; collaborative, adaptable, proactive problem-solving leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CISSP, CCNP, GIAC, or similar.
- Strategic, analytical, fact-based decision-making; strong executive communication/presentation.
