Role Responsibilities
- Develop and execute network security vision, roadmap, and policies with a focus on Zero Trust.
- Provide strategic guidance to executives on threats, trends, and network security investments.
- Lead day-to-day network security operations: monitoring, continuous improvement, and ensure resilience/availability/effectiveness.
- Lead and develop a globally distributed network security operations team.
- Oversee operational management of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, secure network access controls, and related capabilities.
- Direct incident response for network security events (investigate, escalate, contain, restore, post-incident review).
- Operate controls aligned to NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS benchmarks.
- Define/monitor/report KPIs, KRIs, SLAs, and control effectiveness metrics.
- Identify/address operational risks, service gaps, recurring incidents, and performance issues via remediation.
- Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to transition capabilities into operations.
- Oversee third-party/managed security providers.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in cybersecurity/CS/IS or related.
- 8+ years in network security/cybersecurity.
- 5+ years leading security teams/programs.
- Enterprise security tech expertise (firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, NAC, VPN).
- Strong cloud security knowledge (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Incident response, risk management, regulatory compliance.
- Experience in large-scale/highly regulated environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- CISSP/CCNP/GIAC (or similar); strong strategic thinking and analytical, fact-based decision-making.
Work/Location
- Travel <20%; hybrid (2β3 days/week in Pfizer office); NOT remote.
