Director, Multiomics Bioinformatics

Role: Lead strategic direction and execution for Illumina's multiomics bioinformatics portfolio, including single cell, spatial biology, proteomics, and epigenomics, to enable customer workflows and product development. Responsibilities: define long-term informatics strategy, drive innovation in analysis methods and AI-enabled workflows, lead and develop a team of scientists and engineers, and collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Assay Development, Software Engineering, and Commercial teams to align technology roadmaps with business needs. Requirements: PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field; 10+ years of relevant experience with leadership in complex bioinformatics organizations; proven track record in delivering customer-facing software, analytical methods, and supporting product launches; strong understanding of NGS, genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, or multiomics; experience with cloud platforms, AI/ML, and large-scale biological data analysis; excellent communication skills.
