How you’ll contribute:
- Drive state-of-the-art multi-parameter medicinal chemistry optimization using creativity, innovation, in-depth data/literature analysis.
- Contribute to compound design and synthetic route identification across portfolio projects.
- Lead medicinal chemistry efforts to validate targets at early stage to clear decision points.
- Take a holistic approach to hit/lead finding using structure-based drug design and fragment-based drug discovery.
- Lead and manage CRO chemistry teams with strong synthetic/medicinal chemistry skills and clear communication.
- Lead medicinal chemistry efforts and contribute beyond med chem as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
- Represent the company effectively in scientific matters with external organizations.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and development for junior project leaders and medicinal chemists.

Skills and experience you’ll bring:
- PhD in organic/medicinal chemistry with 8+ years as a medicinal chemist/project leader in biotech/pharma, with a track record leading/contributing to research toward IND-track nomination.
- Extensive knowledge of medicinal chemistry strategies for optimizing DMPK, biochemical, pharmacological, and safety.
- Excellent synthetic organic chemistry skills and creativity.
- Proven ability to lead chemistry within a multidisciplinary team and to validate/prioritize targets with a conclusive data package.
- Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to be both strategic and hands-on.
- Strong organizational/multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Clear, concise communication with stakeholders.

Compensation:
- Anticipated base salary range: $195,000–$275,000; eligibility for annual bonus, equity participation, and comprehensive benefits.
