Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee core medical operations processes for the US Vaccines Medical team, including medical planning, execution tracking, governance, and performance monitoring.
- Shape and integrate portfolio-level strategies and tactics as needed.
- Own and coordinate annual medical planning and budgeting aligned to enterprise requirements, therapeutic area priorities, and Global/Commercial needs.
- Support resource planning, capacity assessments, and prioritization across the US Vaccines medical organization.
- Monitor execution against plans/budgets; identify risks, trade-offs, optimization opportunities; escalate recommendations to senior leadership.
- Shape and evolve the medical operating model (governance, decision-making forums, ways of working).
- Lead roll-out and embedding of change initiatives.
- Drive consistency, rigor, and best practices; identify and implement process improvements.
- Advance AI and digital tools to improve operational efficiency and insight generation.
- Establish/refine impact measurement frameworks (KPIs, dashboards, operating reviews).
- As needed, lead TA communication plans (e.g., townhalls, live meetings).
- May manage Medical Operations team members, offshore support, and third-party vendors.
- Partner with senior medical leaders and cross-functional stakeholders on strategic initiatives and launch readiness; ensure adherence to policies/SOPs.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Public Health, or related field.
- 8+ years in Medical Affairs operations/business operations/PMO within pharma/biotech.
- 3+ years owning annual planning & budgeting with plan tracking.
- 3+ years running execution tracking & performance management (KPIs/dashboards/operating reviews).
- 3+ years direct management and/or stakeholder management/matrix leadership (including vendors/outsourced PM support).
- Experience leading change initiatives in matrixed environments with autonomy/ambiguity.
- Strategic business operations experience and long-term planning.
- Project management skills; ability to manage multiple large projects.
- Experience in multicultural matrix organizations.
- Negotiation and change management skills.
- Demonstrated use of data, dashboards, digital and AI-enabled tools.

Preferred:
- Advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, PhD) or formal training in strategy/transformation/PM.
- 4+ years supporting Vaccines Medical Affairs or complex multi-asset therapeutic areas.
