Role Summary
Director, Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Team Lead – Women’s Health, US. Leads and develops the US Women’s Health MSL team, providing day-to-day guidance, setting objectives and metrics, and ensuring non-promotional, evidence-based medical communications in alignment with medical leadership and company strategy. Oversees stakeholder engagement plans, educational material development, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, while operating within SOPs, regulatory requirements, and DEI principles.
Responsibilities

- Innovation: develop and use innovative education materials to meet HCP needs
- Provide day-to-day support and direction for US Women’s Health MSLs; define team objectives, strategies, tactics, metrics, and targets
- Engage in non-promotional, truthful, evidence-based communications with KOLs/HCPs using MRC-approved materials
- Draft, execute, monitor & adapt independent US MSL Stakeholder Engagement Plans
- Coordinate asset/disease-state level activities including travel, HCP interactions, and congress attendance
- Provide monthly activity summaries to the US Women’s Health Medical Lead; may involve advanced negotiations
- Submit expense reports and PTO/vacation requests
- Document HCP Interactions in VEEVA
- Respond to Unsolicited Medical Requests (UMRs) from external stakeholders
- Identify internal activities of rival Medical Affairs organizations and unmet medical education needs
- Develop independent, innovative medical education materials to address unmet educational needs
- Communicate KOL insights to inform independent Medical and company strategy
- Develop and communicate Ad Board, Congress & Customer Insight Reports
- Staff independent Medical Affairs booths at congresses/conventions
- Provide training on products and disease states using approved materials upon request
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or clinical (e.g., hospital/patient care) industry
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) required
- Experience in OB/GYN required
- Experience managing people required
- Knowledge of US Women’s Health MSL roles, clinical trials, therapeutic areas, SOPs, promotion regulations, PhRMA Code, ACCME Standards, and ethics standards
- Ability to develop and manage collaborative relationships with KOLs, medical professionals, and external institutions; strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to interpret complex research, write scientific reports, and communicate with executives; capable of presenting to senior groups
- Statistical and pharmaceutical calculations proficiency preferred
- Problem-solving ability with semi-standardized solutions; independent and collaborative work style
- Direct supervisory responsibilities; reports to US Women’s Health Medical Lead
- US Remote; travel >25% of time (may include overnight/weekend travel); remote participation as needed
Education
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) required
- OB/GYN experience required
