Role Responsibilities
Medical Insights Strategy & Ways of Working
- Contribute to the development and evolution of Medical Insights strategies, frameworks, standards, and ways of working.
- Drive alignment of Medical Insights approaches across Medical Affairs for consistency, quality, scalability, and value.
- Participate in governance and planning forums to support prioritization, roadmap alignment, and progress tracking.
Insights Capabilities, Use Cases & Decision Enablement
- Identify and prioritize opportunities across the Medical Insights lifecycle (capture, curate, analyze, apply).
- Define/refine Insights use cases and business questions aligned with medical strategies, asset plans, and evidence priorities.
- Translate business needs into functional and data requirements to evolve tools/workflows.
- Evaluate analytics/AI capabilities for scientific rigor, compliance, usability, and relevance.
- Guide application of advanced analytics and AI to ensure decision-relevant, fit-for-purpose outputs.
- Translate insights into actionable outputs supporting informed decision-making and strategic discussions.
Value Enablement & Impact Optimization
- Embed Medical Insights into core Medical processes (strategy development, evidence planning, scientific engagement).
- Define and monitor value/impact indicators (relevance, timeliness, adoption, decision influence).
- Identify opportunities to enhance/streamline Medical processes through more effective use of insights.
Operational Enablement & Adoption
- Enable effective use of Medical Insights platforms/tools (access readiness, adoption, continuous improvement).
- Monitor utilization/effectiveness and improve relevance, usability, and impact.
- Support planning, change management, and communications for adoption.
- Conduct targeted analyses to surface emerging trends or unmet needs.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Build collaborative relationships across Medical Affairs and other functions.
- Act as a trusted thought partner to support alignment, transparency, and clarity on capabilities, value, and opportunities.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelorβs+ in Life Sciences/Biomedical/Pharma/Data/related field; 8+ years relevant pharma/life sciences experience (7+ with Masters; 5+ with PharmD/PhD).
- Demonstrated experience in Medical Affairs/Analytics/Strategy/Communications/R&D or related.
- 3+ years analyzing/interpreting/synthesizing data and insights; visualization/analytical outputs for decision-making.
- Proven effectiveness in complex, cross-functional, matrixed global environments.
- Ability to lead initiatives through influence without formal authority.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to partner across cultures/regions.
- Strong English verbal/written communication across scientific/analytical/regulatory/business contexts.
- Solid understanding of pharma/Medical Affairs environment (clinical development, GCP, data interpretation, regulatory/promotional, legal/compliance, governance).
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PhD/MD/PharmD/MS) in relevant discipline.
- Experience/certifications in analytics, AI-enabled solutions, digital health, project management, or business strategy.
- Familiarity with visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Dataiku) and modern data/AI in Medical Affairs.
Non-standard Work
- Travel up to 20%.
