Role Summary

Director, Medical Engagement Lead, Neuropsychiatry (MD required) – REMOTE

Responsibilities

  • External Deliverables
    • Build Scientific Partnerships: Facilitates scientific partnerships with National and Global Thought Leaders and research collaborations; at top neuropsychiatric institutions
    • Gather Early, Actionable Insights: Conduct structured insight-gathering sessions to uncover emerging clinical needs, treatment paradigms and barriers to optimal patient care. Translate frontline feedback into strategic recommendations for clinical development, value messaging and market access.
    • Engage in Deeper Peer-to-Peer Exchanges: Lead high-impact scientific discussions that challenge conventional thinking and advance the standard of care. Present real-world evidence and clinical trial read-outs to key opinion leaders.
    • Deliver Business-Critical Recommendations: Provide strategic input on trial designs, publication plans and launch materials. Advise on payer and HTA discussions from a clinical perspective.
    • Liaise with large institutions to understand clinical levers and barriers to patient access in the context of clinical trials
  • Internal Deliverables
    • Real-Time Insight Synthesis: Rapidly onboard and distill external feedback to inform cross-functional teams (R&D, Medical, Commercial) on clinical strategy and lifecycle planning.
    • Asset Advisory & Launch Readiness: Act as a scientific partner to early- and late-stage asset teams, guiding evidence generation priorities and pre-launch activities. Collaborate on national congress materials.
    • Therapeutic Area Enablement: Educate internal stakeholders on evolving neuropsychiatry trends, real-world data and competitive landscape. Champion patient-centricity by sharing best practices.

Qualifications

  • MD (or equivalent) with board certification in Psychiatry, Neurology or closely related specialty.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in neuropsychiatry.
  • Proven track record of peer-to-peer engagement with national and global Thought Leaders.
  • Strong neuropsychiatry experience required: scientific or clinical area, patient treatment trends, clinical landscape; pharmaceutical industry, including compliance and regulatory guidelines; clinical trial design and process; national and regional healthcare and access environment
  • Excellent communication skills; willing to travel up to 60% of the time.

  • Scientific Agility: Ability to engage in peer-to-peer dialog about data in a fair and balanced way
  • Expert knowledge of clinical practice and evolving healthcare delivery models
  • Ability to understand and critically appraise scientific publications
  • Knowledge of clinical trial design and methodology, including Good Clinical Practices and ethical, governmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Understanding of treatment paradigms and ability to convey information convincingly to physicians
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate scientific and clinical data clearly
  • Strong learning mindset and passion for science; staying current with latest data

Education

  • MD or equivalent required; board certification in Psychiatry, Neurology, or closely related specialty
