Role Summary

Director, Marketing Operational Change Strategy & Delivery at Novartis. Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive change management practice within the US Integrated Marketing organization to drive adoption of new technologies, processes, and ways of working across a globally distributed team. Partner with senior leadership to align change initiatives with business goals and enable organizational transformation. Based in East Hanover, NJ with 5-10% travel; relocation not provided.

Responsibilities

  • Change Management Capability Leadership: Build and scale a change management capability for marketing operations; define objectives, strategy, plan, executional requirements, with KPIs and success metrics; lead a team delivering change initiatives related to digital transformation, process optimization, and capabilities enablement; develop and implement change roadmaps, stakeholder engagement plans, and communication strategies to increase efficiency and adoption.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Serve as primary liaison between marketing leadership, cross-functional partners, and global teams to ensure alignment and transparency; design and deliver executive-ready communications including change narratives, impact assessments, and value cases; champion a culture of curiosity, change agility, and continuous improvement.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead a high-performing team across Change Enablement, Curriculum Design & Delivery, Learning Operations; coach and develop to build change capability across the organization.
  • Operational Excellence: Partner with cross-functional teams to embed change management into core business processes across Agile and Waterfall methodologies; monitor change adoption metrics, risks, and mitigation; optimize processes, systems, artifacts, rituals, and ways of working aligned to transformation strategy.

Qualifications

  • Essential: Bachelor’s degree; 10+ years in change management, preferably in marketing or digital transformation; proven experience leading global teams and managing a portfolio of high-visibility initiatives; strong knowledge of LMS and enterprise change management tools/methodologies; exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Desirable: Certification in Prosci, ACMP, or equivalent; experience leading large teams in a matrixed, global organization with ability to influence at all levels.
