Role Summary

Director, Market Access Account Integration (NC/SC/GA) responsible for executing Market Access strategy and building relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem. Manages business relationships with regional payers, mid-size PBMs, IDNs, specialty provider groups, large employers, and coalitions to influence patient access and innovation. Geographically covers NC/SC/GA with nationwide provider accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for regional payers, specialty contract customers (MCOs, infusion and infusion management groups), IDNs, large employers, and coalitions.
  • Coordinate the account management model and identify opportunities for enterprise-level engagement to ensure access and drive top-down demand.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including payers, mid-size PBMs, provider customers, and non-retail contract accounts, including economic decision makers within health systems and infusion management organizations.
  • Own and manage the strategic plan for account performance, including monitoring contract compliance and performance.
  • Own market segmentation and customer prioritization, representing market access strategies, healthcare economics, and regional/state policies.
  • Responsible for contract management of payers and health systems (RFPs, contract renewals, deal creation).
  • Collaborate across business units to represent the full portfolio and specialty account management.
  • Provide insights to optimize pricing, payer and provider contracting, including above-brand initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, payer behaviors, and competitive activities to inform strategy.
  • Collaborate with Market Access Contracting Strategy and Integrated Business Commercialization Team leads to meet Gross-to-Net targets for specialty brands.
  • Build influential relationships with key influencers at the C-Suite level related to the portfolio.
  • Establish alignment across internal stakeholders to coordinate customer engagement and realize the full value of offerings.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS).
  • Required: 3+ years of experience in market access and account management and/or leadership experience.
  • Required: Valid driver’s license and 50-60% travel.
  • Preferred: MBA and/or advanced clinical/science degree or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Minimum of 3 years in regional payers and/or large contracted customers, mid-size PBMs, and coalitions.
  • Preferred: Financial acumen with understanding of gross profit, erosion, ASP, Net Cost Recovery, and pricing impact.
  • Preferred: Experience in a highly matrixed environment with enterprise-wide influence.
  • Preferred: Learning agility, initiative, and strong performance history.
  • Preferred: Strong account selling, planning, and execution skills; effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Preferred: Ability to apply Compliance Policies and Procedures in unstructured situations; understanding of market access strategies and reimbursement models.
