Role Summary

Director, Manufacturing Operations (Vaccines) โ€šร„รฌ accountable for operational and technical direction in the assigned biologics production area, ensuring a safe workplace and operational capability through staff selection, training, and scheduling, and alignment with company policies and business plans.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the assigned production area, ensuring the manufacture of high-quality biological products and efficient processing of related materials, adhering to strict quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate in the seamless transition of new products from Process Development into full-scale Production, including manufacturing qualifying and validation batches to confirm process integrity and product consistency.
  • Proactively identify and resolve production-related challenges through systematic problem-solving, documentation, and implementation of effective solutions, while championing LEAN principles and fostering a culture of innovation.
  • Provide comprehensive training and development opportunities for department leadership, focusing on scientific principles, time management, GMPs, technical requirements, and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
  • Maintain open communication with management regarding departmental progress, challenges, employee matters, innovative ideas, and manage administrative tasks such as budget preparation and expense monitoring, ensuring compliance with policies and safety programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€šร„รดs Degree in a related discipline + 8 years of relevant experience or Masterโ€šร„รดs Degree in related discipline + 6 years of experience.
  • Technical knowledge of biological production equipment and operations necessary to produce high-quality products safely.
  • Ability to lead teams to achieve results and proven experience in coaching and developing others.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, coaching and teamwork skills.

Education

  • Relevant degree as noted in qualifications above.
