      Role Summary
 Director, Managed Healthcare Medical Scientist. Field-based scientific expert applying clinical, health economic, managed care, and health policy expertise to engage in value discussions with national and regional population-based decision makers in managed care, PBMs, SPs, and IDNs.
 
 Responsibilities
 
  - Identify key national and regional population-based healthcare decision makers; maintain and broaden relationships with managed care, government accounts, and institutions to expand research, advisory, and educational partnerships; identify unmet medical needs and share current medical information related to products in development.
 
  - Provide clear communication of scientific, clinical value and health policy information to health access decision makers; document insights to contribute to strategy and identify data gaps and clinical opportunities.
 
  - Demonstrate high-level scientific and clinical value knowledge; understand customer perspective, disease state, underlying science, guidelines, differentiation, and clinical value of products.
 
  - Propose recommendations by understanding current trends in managed care and research relevant to payers and patients; assess impact on medical strategies.
 
  - Anticipate and address scientific data, research, and health policy needs; partner with customers to identify data gaps and mutual opportunities to improve patient health.
 
  - Serve as medical lead within the integrated account team; contribute to planning, strategy development, and execution.
 
  - Collaborate across Medical Affairs, Market Access, and HEOR; represent as a scientific expert at conferences, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and internal meetings.
 
  - Generate National Account Field Medical Affairs plans; review conference programs, attend sessions, support exhibit operations, and prepare conference reports summarizing key information and competitive intelligence.
 
  - Provide accurate and timely documentation of activities in company databases and platforms.
 
 
 
 Qualifications
 
  - Advanced clinical or scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, or MD/DO) preferred with 5+ years in a medical affairs managed care role
 
  - 5+ years of experience with national payers/PBMs preferred
 
  - Advanced scientific and business acumen; understanding of the healthcare landscape
 
  - Ability to identify, apply, and communicate HEOR
 
  - Self-motivated, proactive, innovative problem-solving; solution oriented
 
  - Analytical and articulate with strong oral and written communication; excellent presentation skills
 
  - Knowledge of Medical Science Liaison roles and compliance with PhRMA Code, promotional laws, ACCME, and company policies
 
  - Valid US driverβΓΓ΄s license and good driving record
 
  - Ability to travel domestically (~50βΓΓ¬60%) and internationally on occasion
