Role: Director of Life Cycle Assessment & Product Stewardship within Bristol Myers Squibb's Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability Enablement organization, focusing on developing and operationalizing product environmental footprinting strategies. Responsibilities: lead the technical execution of Product Carbon Footprints (PCFs) and Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs), build governance models, digital tools, and data systems, and embed lifecycle thinking into product development and procurement processes. Serve as internal expert, translate external regulations into internal programs, and represent BMS in industry initiatives. Qualifications: advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in environmental or chemical engineering, industrial ecology, or equivalent; 10+ years of experience with cradle-to-grave LCAs and PCFs, preferably in pharma or biotech; proficiency in ISO standards (14040/44, 14067), GHG Protocol, LCA software (e.g., SimaPro, GaBi), and familiarity with Watershed. Preferred: experience operationalizing product stewardship regulations, translating technical findings for senior leadership, and innovative approaches including AI/automation. High-value: expertise in environmental footprinting, product lifecycle analysis, regulated industry experience, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement. Work setup: not specified.
