Role Summary

Director, Legal Dispute Resolution. Cambridge, US. Full time. Focus on governmental inquiries and investigations and contentious matters vis-a-vis authorities, supporting BioNTech colleagues worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage a diverse range of governmental inquiries and investigations, including active litigation, discovery, document production, and other legal actions.
  • Provide strategic advice, conduct risk assessments, analyze relevant facts/documents, and handle subpoenas and other legal actions.
  • Collaborate with internal functions to conduct fact finding, interviews, and evidence reviews.
  • Coordinate and lead collection, review, and production of documents and data.
  • Manage outside counsel on litigation/arbitration, including staffing, strategy, and work product.
  • Assist in management of public disclosures and publications, including SEC filings.
  • Support implementation or improvement of standards/processes and develop and conduct training.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; active membership in good standing in a state bar.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in governmental inquiries/investigations and governmental litigation (in law firm or in-house), preferably in life sciences or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Practical, clear, creative, solution-oriented; exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented with strong negotiation and project management skills; ability to work independently and integrate legal guidance into work product.
  • Team player with integrity and accountability; able to prioritize and meet deadlines; strong business judgment and critical thinking in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience in document disclosures and e-discovery.
