Position Summary:
- Director of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications (Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer). Develop and execute investor relations and corporate communications strategies that convey the companyโs scientific platform, clinical progress, regulatory plans, and financial outlook.
Key Responsibilities
Investor Relations:
- Manage an IR event calendar (roadshows, medical/investor conferences, R&D days, quarterly updates).
- Develop investor-facing materials (earnings documents, presentations, press releases, fact sheets, Q&A materials).
- Coordinate logistics and prepare briefing materials for investor/analyst meetings and conference engagements.
- Maintain records of investor interactions, feedback, and follow-ups to refine IR strategy.
- Synthesize investor feedback, analyst commentary, and market sentiment into actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, and external advisors to ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance across investor communications (e.g., SEC filings, press releases, investor decks, corporate website, social media).
Corporate Communications:
- Create written materials (key messages, FAQs, talking points) supporting positioning and program updates.
- Lead internal/external communications initiatives by designing coordinated communication plans and campaigns across functions.
- Define ways of working, resource allocation, and outcome-based planning to improve operational efficiency across stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in Finance, Life Sciences, Business, or related field; MBA/PhD preferred.
- 5+ years in investor relations, corporate communications, equity research, investment banking, corporate finance, or related roles in biotechnology/life sciences; experience in a publicly traded biotech strongly preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; able to translate complex scientific and financial concepts into investor messaging.
- Demonstrated experience preparing/reviewing executive- and external-facing materials.
- Proven ability to work with C-suite executives and support/lead preparation for investor events.
- Experience building coordinated, multi-channel communication strategies and plans.
- Strong priority/deadline/resource management and cross-functional project leadership.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; website/social media familiarity is a plus.
- Medical or scientific communications/writing experience is an advantage.
Compensation/Benefits:
- Competitive compensation and benefits package; base salary range: $188,000โ$235,000 (additional total rewards include annual performance bonus, equity, benefits, and other incentives).
