Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Commercial Therapeutics, US Market Access, Global Commercial Development, Finance, Government Affairs, and Legal to analyze Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) effects on brands and pipeline assets.
- Serve as subject matter expert for therapeutic area leaders, Integrated Brand Teams (IBTs), and Asset Strategy Teams (ASTs) on IRA implementation implications, timelines, and long-term impact.
- Develop and lead a framework for ongoing evaluation and risk assessment of on-market and pipeline assets.
- Identify and prioritize IRA risks over the Long Range Plan (LRP) per asset; facilitate cross-functional risk-navigating teams to drive mitigation strategies (life cycle management, negotiation alternatives, evidence generation).
- Support portfolio-wide risk stratification and segmentation.
- Drive solutions that minimize IRA risk and maximize opportunity for patients and AbbVie.

Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in business or related discipline.
- Masterโ€™s degree highly desirable.
- 12+ years progressive experience in highly regulated commercial business (pharmaceutical/healthcare strongly preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in life sciences, business, public policy, or related field.
- Experience in portfolio risk management, market access, or strategic planning.
- Deep understanding of US healthcare policy/regulatory landscape; IRA knowledge valued.
- Strong cross-functional leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical/problem-solving skills.
