Role: Director of In Vitro Pharmacology within Lilly's Neuroscience Next Generation Therapeutics team, leading the discovery pipeline's in vitro engine for neurodegenerative and pain disorders. Responsibilities: provide strategic scientific oversight, design and validate human-relevant cellular models (iPSC-derived neurons, glia, primary cells), and direct screening of siRNA/genetic medicines; lead a multidisciplinary team; foster innovation through new assay development and external collaborations; contribute to target validation and candidate progression decisions; ensure operational excellence and data quality. Requirements: PhD in Neuroscience, Cell or Molecular Biology; at least 6 years' pharma/biotech experience in in vitro pharmacology; 4+ years in a leadership role; expertise in iPSC systems, disease-relevant models, and genetic medicines; deep knowledge of CNS disorders, particularly neurodegeneration and chronic pain. Preferred: experience with high-throughput screening, assay automation, in vitro toxicology, and regulatory considerations for IND-enabling studies; strong publication record.
