Role Summary
The Director HUB Strategy & Services leads strategies to optimize patient access to AbbVie's products within the US Patient Services organization. Reporting to the Head of Enrollment and Triage Support, this role develops and drives initiatives that enhance patient support programs, access strategies, and reimbursement programs, in collaboration with Access & Reimbursement leadership, Payer, Trade, and Hub teams.
Responsibilities
- Leads effective collaboration with internal stakeholders, external partners, and vendors to drive strategic alignment and engagement. Develops and sustains a high-performing organization by recruiting, training, coaching, and recognizing team members, while establishing efficient workflows. Inspires and motivates direct and indirect collaborators around a shared purpose, fostering commitment to business objectives.
- Vision & Delivery: Demonstrates a strong ability to balance long-term strategic objectives with immediate patient and team deliverables, ensuring sustainable support for AbbVie PSPs. Proactively adapts team focus and resources to achieve current goals while anticipating and planning for future needs
- Tactical Pull-through: Lead the development and delivery of comprehensive access and reimbursement strategies in partnership with APS, Market Access, Trade and Hub teams, to maximize patient access to our products while ensuring financial viability.
- Market Knowledge: Stays informed about changes in healthcare policy, reimbursement regulations, and market trends.
- Sustainable Execution: Oversees key, high-visibility strategic initiatives and drives change management and stakeholder engagement across a diverse and highly matrixed Patient Services organization ensuring prioritized deliverables and milestones are met within budget and time parameters.
- Performance Measurement/Impact: Partner with APS TBUs, Strat Ops, MABI, BTS, and other leadership teams to establish KPIs for assessing access and reimbursement strategy effectiveness. Implement and manage quarterly business reviews across all Access and Reimbursement teams in partnership with the Head of Enrollment and Triage Support.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with and align objectives to internal stakeholders (including Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, and Legal, Quality, OEC, SPDO, BTS, etc.).
- Oversee annual budgeting process and ensure HUB programs are operating at or below planned budget levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred
- 15+ years of experience in healthcare
- 7+ years supervisory experience
- The role requires strong strategic thinking, project management leadership skills, organizational skills, and strong understanding of patient services business areas.
- Proven ability to drive outstanding employee performance and engagement through developing, coaching, motivating, energizing and inspiring team members.
- Vendor management and performance oversight, with the ability to drive results through clear governance, KPIs, and continuous improvement
