Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and lead Molecular Profiling capabilities at the Seattle research site, aligned with company goals.
- Develop and execute a strategic vision for Molecular Profiling, including technology investment priorities with partner teams.
- Build and lead a high-performing team of scientists; foster innovation, collaboration, and scientific excellence.
- Leverage clinical samples to generate biological insights and identify high-priority targets and pathways in immunology indications.
- Collaborate with the biomarker team to execute biomarker strategy.
- Partner with Data & Computational Sciences to implement advanced AI/ML approaches to bridge clinical, experimental, and computational work to nominate novel immunology targets.
- Direct single-cell multiomics atlases and ML models for data-driven target prioritization across autoimmune disease cohorts.
- Serve on Seattle Research leadership team; lead interdisciplinary project teams and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Identify and establish external collaborations with academic institutions, biotech companies, and other organizations.
- Present findings, strategies, and progress to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. (or equivalent) in cellular biology, biochemistry, biophysics, or related fields; 10+ years relevant post-doctoral experience.
- Proven expertise in spatial transcriptomics, CYTOF, single-cell sequencing, and proteomics.
- Demonstrated experience with complex data analysis, including AI/ML.
- Strong leadership experience building and managing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication/presentation skills and cross-functional collaboration.
- Self-motivated, organized, and skilled at solving complex problems in fast-paced environments.
- Passion for innovation and improving outcomes for people with serious diseases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Immunology research experience and deep understanding of immune system biology.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing external partnerships.
