Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead communications activities supporting established vaccines and investigational candidates, including regulatory approvals, scientific data publications, and business/reputation milestones.
- Manage internal and external communications aligned with the corporate narrative and Global Vaccines strategy; partner with Global and U.S. Vaccines marketing leaders to develop strategic communications tied to business priorities.
- Evaluate innovative, creative omni-channel strategies to engage internal and external stakeholders; ensure strategies are robust and complementary.
- Develop and communicate strategies, programs, and materials for global regions and subsidiaries; advise regions/subsidiaries on franchise and product communications issues.
- Serve as a liaison to third-party groups (e.g., advocacy organizations), external experts (e.g., researchers), and trade/local news media.
- Work with public relations agencies and manage related budgets.
- Manage a direct report supporting the vaccines portfolio.
Education Minimum Requirements:
- BA required.
Required Experience and Skills:
- 8+ years in communications/public relations within the pharmaceutical or related industry (e.g., hospital, public health).
- Product communications experience.
- Excellent written and oral communications across multiple mediums (print, digital, presentations).
- Strong project management; ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Collaborative, able to succeed in a fast-paced, high-visibility role.
- Budget and agency management experience.
- Proven ability to prepare strategic communications plans and execute tactically.
