Corporate Functions
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide technical accounting advice for revenue recognition (out-licensing), M&A, divestments, alliances, collaboration agreements, R&D in-licensing arrangements, and lease agreements.
- Review accounting treatments for proposed financial instruments (Corporate Treasury).
- Review business transactions and agreements and assess Group accounting consequences (facts and circumstances).
- Collaborate with Consolidations & Statutory Reporting on reporting/disclosure consequences.
- Collaborate with other teams (Account to Report, Tax, External Auditors, etc.) on accounting consequences.
- Write and communicate formal accounting position papers and memos for internal teams and external auditors.
- Partner with Internal Control on formalizing accounting treatments; perform SOX requirements as needed.
- Assess preliminary impacts of new accounting/reporting pronouncements on existing/new contracts and operational initiatives.
- Provide input/examples to the Group accounting manual for complex historical transactions.
- Participate in global accounts committees to provide technical expertise.
- Support Finance hard-close process by ensuring complex one-off transactions are documented and concluded on for year-end.
- Support global completeness/timeliness for one-off complex transactions aligned with stakeholders and external auditors.

Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree; specialization in Accounting.
- 7–10 years of professional experience.
- CPA certification.
- Management/supervision experience in a public accounting firm.
- Knowledge of US GAAP & IFRS (required).
- Pharmaceutical industry knowledge (preferred).
- Excellent written/oral communication, organizational skills.
- Strong leadership, team-building, interpersonal skills; detail-oriented.
