Role Description:
- Drive major global strategic initiatives as defined by the Zoetis Executive Team (ZET), with frequent interaction with senior business leaders and the ZET.
Responsibilities:
- Drive major global strategic initiatives
- Partner with business leaders on major growth, business model innovation, and shareholder value initiatives
- Partner with Business Development, Commercial Development, Finance, and other organizations on portfolio strategy, investment, and transaction reviews
- Provide strategic expertise and thought partnership to senior leaders (problem solving/structuring)
- Conduct financial and strategic analyses on identified opportunities
- Complete capability gap assessments and plans (digital, pricing, etc.)
- Transition strategy to operational execution
- Strategic Planning
- Monitor external trends and prepare thought pieces for the Company and Board
- Compile competitive intelligence/strategic updates (competitors, M&A, Digital)
- Pressure-test implications of analyses and decisions across the Company
Requirements:
- Background in strategy consulting/finance/financial modeling, or strategy-related experience (preferred)
- Background in life sciences/animal health (preferred)
- Strong collaborative, cross-functional and cross-regional presence
- Resourceful and self-motivated; able to operate with limited direction and prioritize by business value
Skills:
- Influence without authority; project management and interpersonal skills
- Strong strategic/business acumen, financial analysis, change management, relationship building
- Outstanding written and oral communication
- Learning agility; comfort with ambiguity; multiple priorities
- Ability to quickly learn animal health business and Zoetis
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or MBA a plus
- Minimum 6 years of strategy and project management experience
Compensation/Benefits:
- US base salary range: $185,000–$266,000
- Eligible for short-term and long-term incentives
- Healthcare/insurance day one; 401(k) match and profit-sharing; 4 weeks vacation
