Role Summary

Director, Global R&D Sourcing — BeOne seeks experienced professionals to manage clinical outsourcing for global or regional trials, including vendor identification/selection, contract negotiation, vendor performance governance, and study budgeting. Responsible for clinical study budget estimation and lifecycle management, maximizing value from partnerships with internal stakeholders and external providers.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the clinical studies at study and program level as the sourcing lead.
  • Engages stakeholders and identifies business requirements.
  • Responsible for clinical study budget estimation and budget management during the study life cycle, working with cross-functional teams.
  • Understands cost structure for spend categories including investigator grants, Central labs, IVRS, Imaging, SMO, patient recruitment, Comparator, and Clinical Depot.
  • Manages identification and selection of clinical vendors.
  • Generates RFI and RFPs and budget grids.
  • Coordinates bid defenses and proposal review meetings; provides analysis to project teams.
  • Contract lifecycle management: manages clinical contracts and change orders, including negotiation of scope of work, payment terms, and budgets.
  • Assists Finance with month-end and budget/forecasting needs (accruals, project budgets, etc.).
  • Ensures quality oversight of suppliers by partnering with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify, manage, escalate, and resolve issues related to supplier performance.
  • Measures supplier performance using scorecards/metrics; communicates feedback to suppliers and supports continuous process improvements.
  • Facilitates and executes supplier governance meetings and operating reviews.
  • Develops effective partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Identifies current outsourcing trends and develops/implements outsourcing processes and procedures.
  • Leads and contributes to complex functional or company initiatives and special projects as identified by executive management or business need.

Qualifications

  • MS/MA degree in related discipline and 7+ years of related experience (equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable).
  • Efficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
