Director, Global Program Management (NS TAU) β Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Provide global program management and matrixed leadership for early-to-late phase development and lifecycle management (incl. marketed products) to meet strategic objectives.
- Translate integrated Global Product Team (GPT) strategy into an executable plan; drive clarity, remove barriers, influence decisions, and proactively manage/mitigate development risks.
- Partner with Global Program Leader (GPL) and cross-functional R&D/Commercial teams to integrate scientific and commercial strategy into asset strategy and integrated development plan.
- Lead key initiatives impacting TAU/CoOP/CMSO and ensure team effectiveness via GPT forum management and team health checks.
- Provide financial oversight (global, cross-divisional budgets), manage governance preparation, and oversee critical-path delivery.
- Drive operational excellence, communication/reporting to KPIs, urgent issue resolution, and contingency planning.
- Mentor colleagues; may have people management responsibilities; champion AI/data fluency and AI-enabled tools.
Qualifications:
- BS in science or business; advanced degree preferred.
- 10β12+ years pharma drug development experience across phases; 5β7+ years global program management in multidisciplinary environments.
- Strong influencing, strategic problem-solving, risk prediction/mitigation, and executive communication.
- Required: matrix program leadership/management skills; substantial intercultural cooperation.
- Skills: cross-functional decision-driving, virtual collaboration across time zones, strong organizational skills; experience with MS Project Pro, Excel, PowerPoint, Word; fluent English.
Desired/Certifications: PMI PMP desired.
Travel: ~10% to US/EU/Japan/international locations.
