Role Summary

Director, Global Medical Affairs Leader, Lumateperone located in Raritan, NJ. This role leads aspects of clinical-commercial optimization for asset development and lifecycle management, partnering with global and regional teams to develop integrated medical affairs strategies and plans.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for development of worldwide medical affairs strategy and plans for the compound based on prioritized regional needs in alignment with global objectives
  • Responsible for internal training strategy to educate global and regional market access and medical affairs teams
  • Responsible for global publications planning process oversight (pre-launch and throughout lifecycle)
  • Responsible for pre- and post-launch medical activities, medical symposia and congress activities in coordination with regions
  • Provide medical input into market research and health outcomes research conducted by commercial and market access teams
  • Responsible for opinion leader relations
  • Responsible for product/Therapeutic Area global advisory boards and consulting activities
  • Collaborate with regional medical affairs to ensure plans, progress, and decisions are communicated
  • Review manuscripts/presentations to ensure alignment with strategy and effective communication
  • Ensure global activities follow Johnson & Johnson compliance principles
  • May serve on Safety Management Teams, Compound Development Teams, and Global Commercial Teams
  • Collaborate with GCSO, regional partners, R&D, and other GMAF peers

Qualifications

  • An advanced scientific/medical degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, MPH, or equivalent) is required
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with global complexity
  • Global mindset and ability to partner cross-culturally/regionally
  • Experience developing and managing strategic relationships with medical experts/opinion leaders
  • Proven ability to act as a medical spokesperson for external audiences
  • 25% travel (domestic and international) required
  • In-depth knowledge of study/clinical methodology and data analysis is preferred
  • Knowledge of study execution, benefit-risk management, and lifecycle management is preferred
  • Established network with medical experts/opinion leaders in psychiatry is highly preferred
