Role Summary
Director, Global Market Access and Pricing, Immunology leads the global market access and pricing strategy for the immunology portfolio, guiding access analytics and developing a one-voice market access perspective throughout the development timeline. The role collaborates cross-functionally to inform indication selection, clinical development plans, payer data generation, forecasts, and value messaging to support pricing benchmarks. It drives Early Market Access capabilities and planning across key assets, partnering with a broad set of functions and priority markets to maximize pricing and access potential.
Responsibilities
- Leads the assessment of internal assets and potential target indications in collaboration with global cross-functional partners
- Leads development of the access and pricing strategy for internal assets based on scenarios developed with New Product Planning
- Develops a clear Early Market Access Roadmap for all assets to ensure understanding and preparedness for decision making and market preparation
- Executes core activities including:
- Foundational knowledge of disease and payer unmet needs through payer research
- Early market access success factors / risks identification
- Fact-based early potential assessments with price/access assumptions and scenario development
- Informed market access input to clinical development plans and pivotal trial design
- Early market access plan and early payer value proposition
- Payer evidence plan and IEGP support with HEVA to reinforce payer value proposition
- Contributes to asset strategy within the GPT and early commercialization team, ensuring payer/market access considerations are explicit
- Supports governance meetings (e.g., TARC, DWG, IDCC, SPM)
- Coordinates Market Access GLocal subteams, ensuring input from priority markets
- Maintains knowledge of scientific, clinical, pricing, and commercial developments relevant to assets
- Develops understanding of pricing and reimbursement criteria in key markets to inform payer strategy and tactics
- Improves early market access capabilities across the pipeline through value assessment, pricing, insights generation, scenario development, and risk management
Qualifications
- Masterโs degree in science, business, or related discipline with minimum 7 years of relevant experience in market access
- Strong interest in clinical drug development and shaping early strategies in a dynamic environment
- Strong analytical skills, including pricing, with ability to translate clinical information into payer access recommendations
- Ability to work across multiple projects and diverse payer archetypes in US and ex-US geographies
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for audiences at all levels
- Strong leadership and relationship-building capabilities; ability to work cross-functionally
- Understanding of the evolution of the market access landscape and its business implications
- Business acumen with analytical and financial skills to evaluate investments and forecast P&L
