Director Global Logistics

Role: Lead and scale Twist Bioscience’s global logistics operations, focusing on shipping, warehousing, cold chain management, and international distribution to ensure timely, compliant delivery of sequencing and DNA synthesis products. Responsibilities: develop and oversee end-to-end logistics, optimize cold chain programs, manage international customs and trade compliance, coordinate warehouse operations across facilities, negotiate vendor contracts, and partner with cross-functional teams to align logistics with production and customer needs. Develop scalable infrastructure for global expansion, track KPIs, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards including ISO 13485. Requirements: Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field; 12+ years in logistics/supply chain, with 5+ years in senior leadership in biotech or pharma; expertise in cold chain transport (2–8°C, dry ice, –20°C, –80°C), international shipping, and trade compliance; hands-on with ERP/TMS/WMS systems (SAP preferred); strong team-building, financial acumen, and strategic communication skills. Preferred: advanced degree (MBA/MS).
