Role Summary
Director, Global Indication Lead, Rheumatology. Lead the development of the commercial strategy for key assets in late-stage development, guiding pre-launch efforts and cross-functional Indication Commercialization Team in assigned indications.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of launch and commercialization strategies across global key markets/regions.
- Build an integrated global indication brand strategy with cross-functional alignment across regional and country perspectives.
- Evolve the target patient profile using market insights to inform brand positioning for patients and healthcare providers.
- Lead branding, messaging, and market activation strategies to maximize launch impact and sustained success.
- Drive development of the global launch campaign in collaboration with market stakeholders to ensure cultural relevance and enduring impact.
- Identify strategic partnerships to establish and enhance the brands and argenxβs market position.
- Lead the cross-functional Indication Commercialization Team (ICT) responsible for the commercial product strategy throughout its lifecycle.
- Foster ongoing insights development and data-driven decision-making for the brand.
- Represent ICT on the Indication Development Team (IDT) and collaborate with Clinical Science and Development to maximize the value of evidence generation.
- Partner with Market Access & Pricing teams to optimize reimbursement strategies and support global market entry.
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments to inform brand adjustments.
- Represent argenx at industry conferences and build relationships with key opinion leaders and stakeholders.
- Manage the global commercial budget and allocate resources to maximize brand impact.
- Ensure strategy and assumptions are executable at in- and above-market levels and align with priorities.
- Develop and communicate strategic options to optimize trade-offs and global value considerations.
Qualifications
- Required: Masterβs degree and 10+ years of marketing experience.
- Required: 5+ years in global strategic marketing/commercial roles, with 3+ years in-market/regional leadership.
- Required: Global brand launch and commercialization experience for pipeline products with multiple indications.
- Required: MBA in business or health sciences or equivalent; additional biology/chemistry/life sciences education preferred.
- Preferred: Deep understanding of autoimmune/rare diseases; experience in Rheumatology or Immunology; knowledge of global regulatory/commercial environments (US, EU, Japan); US in-market launch experience.
- Preferred: Ability to lead integrated cross-functional commercialization strategies; experience in matrixed teams; strong agency management; strong analytical and market access, pricing, reimbursement expertise.
Education
- MBA in business or health sciences or additional education in biology, chemistry, life sciences recommended.
