About Madrigal

Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company pursuing novel therapeutics for non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), also known as metabolic dysfunction associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Our first therapy, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), was granted accelerated approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of adults with NASH with moderate to advanced liver fibrosis (consistent with stages F2 to F3 fibrosis) and is being studied in a Phase 3 trial for the treatment of NASH with compensated cirrhosis.

Role Overview

The Director GHEOR RWE will support the strategic goals of the GHEOR, Global Medical Affairs (GMA) and the broader business driving patient access with optimal pricing and reimbursement for Madrigal Pharmaceutical’s medicines, with a focus on Rezdiffra.

This position directly impacts the ability to achieve business objectives on a global basis by providing strategic guidance and robust evidence development relevant to achieve optimal patient access by demonstrating the value of our medicines for liver health, with a primary focus on developing and deploying real-world data and evidence to support Rezdiffra and the Madrigal portfolio, in a federated operating model that includes service delivery across the enterprise.

The Director GHEOR RWE will be responsible for developing and executing RWE projects and strategies against the global integrated evidence plans, including direct oversight of evidence generation activities and dissemination of technical deliverables related to real-world data and evidence. Reporting to the VP GHEOR, the incumbent will be working closely with the GMA, Clinical Development & Biostatistics, Access and Commercial, Regional and in-Country teams to foster a culture that promotes innovation, optimal population health and patient centricity.

Position Responsibilities

• Applicants should have a strong analytical background, particularly in biostatistics, public health, or epidemiology, and working with various real-world data (RWD) sources.
• The incumbent will have experience designing, building and maintaining internal data warehouses.
• The incumbent should have in-depth experience with R and SAS programming, as well as familiarity with commonly used RWD data assets such as administrative claims and electronic health records databases.
• Ability to engage in both rapid analyses and full protocol-driven observational studies, ensuring that the methodologies employed are robust and scientifically sound.
• Ability to proactively test out hypotheses with data and inform company strategies.
• Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders is essential, as the analyst will need to communicate findings and shape analyses based on stakeholder needs.
• This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable navigating complex datasets and has a passion for leveraging data to improve patient outcomes.
• The analyst will also be expected to stay updated on industry trends and advancements in RWE and HEOR methodologies, contributing to the continuous improvement of research practices within the organization.
• Support real-world research projects in RWE and HEOR.
• Work with administrative claims and electronic health records databases.
• Ability to present at scientific conferences and publish in key journals.

Qualifications and Skill Required

• MS/PhD in biostatistics, public health, epidemiology, or a similar field.
• 6+ years' experience in RWD analytics with a proven track record of delivering results.
• In-depth experience with R or SAS programming.
• Familiarity with common commercially available RWD data assets encompassing claims & EHRs.
• Experience in delivering ad-hoc and full protocol-driven observational studies.
• Ability to program and/or validate code across multiple languages (e.g., SAS and R).
• Experience with liver diseases in the RWD space would be preferred.
• A strong track record of publications.
• Strong communications skill.

Location

3 days in office at West Conshohocken Madrigal HQ.

Compensation

Base salary is determined by several factors that include, but are not limited to, a successful candidate's qualifications, skills, education, experience, business needs, and market demands. The role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits, which include flexible paid time off (PTO), medical, dental, vision, and life and disability insurance.
