Role Summary

Director, Global Digital Enablement. Lead the definition and execution of the Commercial digital technology strategy to support global commercial and therapeutic area teams, drive adoption of AI-enabled solutions, and ensure governance, compliance, and measurable impact across digital investments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead digital strategic transformation initiatives to drive adoption of emerging digital technologies and AI-enabled workflows for personalization, automation, and execution.
  • Execute the global commercial digital and AI strategy, aligning with overall business objectives and enterprise digital vision.
  • Define the digital capabilities and investments roadmap and prioritize initiatives for efficient resource allocation and timely delivery.
  • Oversee the end-to-end digital enablement lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment, optimization, and future enhancements.
  • Collaborate with therapeutic area leads and sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure digital solutions meet their needs.
  • Act as trusted advisor to business units, guiding on how digital capabilities drive engagement and business impact.
  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, Program Management, and Regulatory Affairs to meet governance and regulatory requirements for digital solutions, including AI tools.
  • Collaborate with IT on platform upgrades, integrations, and new functionalities to meet evolving business needs.
  • Optimize digital tools, dashboards, and workflows to provide actionable information for field and commercial teams.
  • Ensure users have tools needed to engage effectively with customers, in coordination with digital strategy, sales enablement, and commercial operations.
  • Analyze digital engagement data to derive insights informing strategic and operational decisions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of digital strategies across departments.
  • Lead change management to ensure smooth adoption of new digital capabilities with minimal disruption to operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience leading digital and AI initiatives, technology enablement, or transformation, ideally in life sciences or regulated environments.
  • Proven experience with digital technologies (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce, AI/ML platforms) and integration with marketing automation and analytics tools.
  • Strong experience with agile transformation, localized deployment models, and digital/omnichannel systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate teams to achieve goals in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects from concept to execution.
  • Vendor management experience including evaluation, due diligence, contracting, and performance management.
  • Familiarity with rare disease therapeutic areas or specialty pharma digital and marketing practices.
