Position Summary
Director, Global Compensation responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing national and international compensation programs to attract and engage top talent. Leads job evaluations, offer package review, salary surveys/benchmarking, global compensation structure design, promotion processes, and annual compensation planning cycles. Partners with People Success and business stakeholders to ensure compliant, competitive compensation practices and Total Rewards projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage compliant compensation programs/resources (salary structures, merit/pay, internal pay equity, promotions, awards, stock, bonuses, job classifications in US/Europe).
- Lead global job architecture and change management.
- Lead annual compensation planning; partner with HRIS to enhance Workday; manage end-to-end process and deliver training/communications.
- Partner with business leaders/HRBPs to review new jobs, leveling, and compensation; provide compensation coaching.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on offers (letters/terms/guidelines for US and OUS).
- Support sales incentive plan review; drive equity programs with Stock Administration.
- Review job descriptions for compliance/consistency; create/maintain job leveling criteria/tools.
- Ensure compliance with federal/state/local compensation laws; conduct salary surveys and analyses; recommend compensation using internal/external data.
- Prepare metrics analyses and support BOD/Comp Committee materials.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelorβs in Business, HR, or Finance (or equivalent).
- 10+ years relevant experience (preferably pharma/biotech/life sciences).
- Strong knowledge of FLSA, pay transparency, equity programs, and DOL compliance.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- CCP certification (preferred); advanced Excel/Microsoft; Workday Compensation/Advanced Compensation; AI for research/analytics; strong analytical/project management; communication; ability to travel (10%).
Total Rewards / Benefits (as stated)
- Target base pay range: $189,000β$246,000.
