Responsibilities:
- Define and own the enterprise strategy and vision for the upstream content ecosystem (MLR, DAM, CAT, and integrations).
- Ensure platforms enable: modular content reuse and scalability; accelerated speed-to-market; regulatory compliance and audit readiness; seamless, user-centric experiences.
- Establish DAM as the single source of truth; ensure ecosystem-wide alignment with end users.
- Partner with senior leadership to align platform strategy with digital, marketing, and business objectives.
- Own the commercial roadmap for continuous improvement; balance transformation with operational priorities.
- Define and track enterprise KPIs: adoption and engagement; cycle time reduction (e.g., MLR review timelines); content reuse/efficiency gains; reduction in manual processes and duplication.
- Identify and prioritize innovation opportunities (e.g., AI-enabled workflows, automation, intelligent metadata).
- Establish and enforce enterprise governance: role-based capabilities/permissions; workflow standardization/controls; metadata and taxonomy discipline.
- Ensure compliance by design; partner with Legal/Regulatory/Compliance on evolving requirements.
- Maintain accountability for end-to-end platform performance; monitor adoption/utilization, workflow efficiency/bottlenecks, and metadata quality.
- Lead continuous improvement (platform enhancements, process optimization, integration maturity) and translate insights into business value.
- Serve as primary business stakeholder for content operations priorities; partner with IT for secure/scalable architecture, requirement translation, and timely releases.
- Lead and develop the team; build capability in platform utilization, content operations best practices, and change management/adoption.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise metadata/taxonomy frameworks; oversee content/metadata integrity and flow; enable governed reporting/analytics; partner with IT on data model and integration strategy.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree (advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years pharmaceutical/biotech marketing experience, including global/regional leadership.
- 10+ years content operations, business process, or digital content ecosystem experience.
- Leadership managing teams and enterprise platforms.
- Deep experience with DAM, MLR, and/or content lifecycle platforms (e.g., Veeva, Aprimo).
- Strong regulated-environment experience (pharma preferred).
- Ability to operate strategically and operationally; drive cross-functional alignment.
- Strong IT platform-partnership experience.
- Strong business/digital acumen; enterprise product mindset and value-driven decisions.
- Executive stakeholder influencing skills.
- Strong understanding of content lifecycle, governance, and compliance.
- Data-driven/analytical performance management.
- Ability to lead through complexity and drive change.
- International travel (~20%).
- English proficiency (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
